To the north of the coastal resort town of Eilat are some of the majestic desert landscapes around, where geologically carves out outstanding mountains in red and black, in limestone and granite. From these mountaintops you can view spectacular views, from Jordan to the Red Sea and to the Sinai peninsula (and even Saudi Arabia in the distance).
The desert here is at its most extreme, with hardly any vegetation. In winter we can find some water pools hidden at secret places along the peaks and ravines.
